We saw some wildlife...

This cow moose was about the only moose we saw this summer. We were up at Circle Park at just the wrong times, I guess. But! This cow was obliging; she posed for us.
This guy was bragging up his fairly small rack...
Then one Sunday, we got home from meeting and saw this buck hanging out under one of our trees. But, check out the froth...we weren't sure what that might mean, so Michael clicked a few pics and herded it out of the yard...
This post is a bit of a majestic photo...he's not so sure of Michael.
Then these little twin fawns hung out at the office most of the summer. Aren't they cute?

Oh, deer, deer, deer

These muley bucks decided to show their faces in our subdivision again. We haven't had deer here since about 2001 or 2002. The antelope continued traipsing around but the deer apparently were scared away by all the development in the area. This spring, these bucks showed up in our yard. This bold guy came right up into our yard and started munching on our apple trees. That's where we drew the line! I went and bought Liquid Fence (whooee, does that stuff ever stink!) and they don't come into the yard any more. Can you see this guy's antlers through the branches?
A week later, they were back. It seems like they go off and tell their friends about this great yard with apple trees, plum trees, roses, rhubarb, and great clover! Then more come the next time. On this day there were four.

Jonathan scared them away with his antelope shooing expertise!
