Smiling for the camera

I dressed Annisia in one of her pretty princess dresses for meeting one Sunday. I just had to get some pics. She is really a camera ham, isn't she?!

Jonathan needed his picture taken too. He's at the age where he forces a smile, I guess.

I get kudos for this one. I built this train track for Jonathan. It goes around a curve, up a hill, over a bridge and back down...then we ran out of track. He thought it was great! He asked for some coal for his train. We loaded a little wagon with raisins and duct taped it to the train engine. He thought that was great too!

We got Jonathan this double sided easel for his birthday. It has a dry erase board on one side, a chalk board on the other, and a spool for paper in the middle. Plus, Michael brings home big paper he prints plans out on. Paper that has become scrap for whatever reason. It's great, just the right size, about 24"x30". The kids love to paint and draw. However, they have been caught chewing on the chalk, and drawing on the chalk board with the dry erase markers. Argh!

Note, Daddy having fun too! heehee!

Sunday Best & All the Rest

These days, it's almost impossible to get a good picture of these two! Alone, they're fine, but as soon as I put them together, well... This one, taken last Sunday, the 5th, didn't turn out so bad.

Jonathan decided he needed to be playing his duck whistle, something he got from the library reading program.

And Annisia needed to carry around her horsey while modeling her sweet little summer romper she got from Aunty Ang and Uncle Mike. (Check out the little farmers tan!)

Another day, the kids were feeling photogenic. Jonathan likes to have his picture taken when I am trying to get a picture of Annisia, and rarely else!

And Annisia seems to know that's her picture on my cell phone wallpaper! Just like Jonathan (and all other kids, I bet!), she really likes carrying around phones.

Monkey Ears and Silly Grins

This one's for you , Dawnita!

When my friend, Dawnita visited in March 2005, we got this picture of Jonathan...

I took this monkey ears pic on June 7th. What a goofy monkey I have!

Jonathan was all smiles for the camera (sometimes!) at Cody convention. He had a few tough days at convention because he really wanted to take a nap in the morning meeting. "But that's not his nap time", says this scheduled mommy. So things were rough. Finally on Saturday, we let it happen, and his behavior at lunch and afterwards was great! Unfortunately, he wanted (and tried) to then fall asleep at about 4:35pm. So dinner wasn't all that fun. Oh well, it's only for 4 days...And we actually managed to glean a little bit of help from those days!

And Annisia has a sweet grin on her 11 month birthday. This is outside our camper at convention. The kids did pretty well with sleeping in the camper. It was still quite warm at bedtime, but sleeping in a onesie was different, and therefore, fun!
