April news

Here's my munchkins! I am not sure what was happening here...ie. why the kids were being so rascally, but it's cute nonetheless.

Jonathan has been getting Winnie the Pooh read to him recently. He loves it. Really, he does! He was just tired this night!

Annisia got a new Pooh truck (because Jonathan wouldn't share his and we decided she needed one too.) It's such a fun truck!

We saw these sandhill cranes on the way into town. Jonathan said they had walky legs, whatever that meant.
We bought this biplane kit in Michael's for $1 when we went to Billings in March. Michael and Jonathan painted it and put it together one day. He loves it!

Jhhh! (noise of flying the plane)
My parents visited April 21-28. Jonathan cuddled up next to Grandpa and read his "Machines at Work" book until he fell asleep. Looks like Grandpa is tired too!

Gramma and Papa's horse, Mira, had her filly while my folks were here. So did their other mare, Beauty, but I haven't gotten a pic of him yet. This little filly has really long legs, and she was really wobbly, but so sweet.

Jonathan got a bike! How exciting! He loves it and is really good about wearing his helmet while he rides. He knows where on our driveway to turn around, and is learning about pushing back on the pedals to stop. Very cool. Watch the video and see how good he is at riding.

This video requires an explanation. Jonathan was supposed to get his jammies on. He came waddling out with both legs in one pants leg. It was so funny, probably lots funnier to us watching it firsthand than it'll be to you watching the video...sideways. Anyone know how to turn videos taken vertically to horizontal and make them load that way?

Smiling at the breakfast table!

Jonathan said, "C'mon, Annisia, I'll read to you." Isn't that sweet?!

Flat Stanley!

Well, our friend Rachel, whom we met in Auckland, NZ, and now lives in Malaysia, sent us Flat Stanley. I fear I have had him in my home too long and must get him sent on. Here are a few things he did with us while he was here in WY.
The kids took him outside one fine day. He got to ride on Jonathan's backhoe loader and Annisia held him for awhile. We have some gorgeous days in the spring. But today, May 2nd, it's snowing and blowing again. We have a couple 3 foot drifts around the house.
Jonathan and Annisia enjoy painting. Flat Stanley wasn't so sure about that as he didn't have a paint shirt along. But he enjoyed watching.

We go to the local YMCA nearly every day. The kids play in the daycare and I work out. Flat Stanley enjoyed the daycare but I didn't take a picture in there for confidentiality reasons. But here is the outside of our great gym.
And then we went to Pizza Hut for lunch. I think Flat Stanley is on a diet, because he refused lunch!
THEN! The best thing happened! Flat Stanley got to go to Gramma and Papa's ranch with the kids. Jonathan gets to ride in the tractor with Papa sometimes. They brought bales of hay to the horses this day.
And Annisia was with Gramma by Bud, the horse Jonathan has already ridden on, (even trotted!), and Annisia will soon be on if I know her grandparents! You may be able to see the Big Horn Mountains behind the tree.
Then Flat Stanley got an outfit worthy of Wyoming. Blue jeans, a handkerchief patterned shirt and boots. Thanks for coming, Flat Stanley!
