In the Drawer...

These two seem to enjoy this bottom drawer.

Aren't they cute?

A Little of This and a Little of That 2...

Check out the stylin' little pink boots! Gramma M says she has a book titled "A Princess does wear hiking boots" or something like that!

A sweet little puffy ponytail...
OK, what's going on? Did Daddy ask Jonathan to get his PJs on by himself? Bottoms don't go on our head! That's a pretty funny hat, little boy!

Yup! You're a chick magnet all right...

I made some finger paints on Saturday, and Daddy and Jonathan had a blast.

Catching up...

A couple weeks ago, the week after Joe and Loren were here, Annisia started to run a fever, still had a runny nose and was ultra needy. She could hardly sleep unless she was held upright, her appetite was down (which shocked us!) This went from Sunday night to Thursday when I finally had enough of seeing our normally animated little girl quite listless and admitted her fever never really went down despite Tylenol. I took her in to the doctor, and found out she had pneumonia. Ugh! Poor girl. Now, it's poor Mommy and Daddy. While she was sick, we didn't really mind taking her into our bed at night...we could monitor her fever, she could breathe (because I held her while I slept propped up like I did for most of my pregnancies because of heart burn!) But now we're dealing with it. She wakes in the night, and when we go in to get her to lay back down, she throws a fit. She has us wrapped around her little finger, we are OLD and tired, and we give up and take her into bed with us. Ugh again...I am NOT a fan of co-sleeping, sorry.

My latest Parents magazine came. I looked down the cover and was very intrigued to say the least. "What to do when your house feels like a swamp", (what DO you do?) "When wipes are just too small"...I was caught! We occasionally have the Long Mile Island diaper, and the wipes are too small! So I opened the cover to look for the article, and realized it was just an advertisement for the newest Shrek movie. HA! Fooled me! But I really wanted to know...

It gets a little weird around here...

We love taco night! The kids enjoy black beans...a little too much!

And it's always great fun to feed Daddy black olives!

Canning...take one!

Loren helped me make plum jam. It didn't set up, but is great plum sauce. Over time, it has set up some more, so now it's a little runny jam. Yum!

Jonathan was so tickled to see all the canning stuff. He ran and got his Legos and cooked them. He was making plum pie. He ran some through the ricer, and they both got a kick out of stirring them (much to all the adults chagrin!)

The kids look so cute in their tied up aprons. Annisia gets such a charge out of wearing an apron...how soon can I teach her to cook?!

When the workers come...

When the workers come, what do you do? Why, you put them to work! The same day we went through Crazy Woman Canyon, we also went to a friend's place in the mountains (and woods) for some firewood. Loren and Joe were a HUGE help. We were so appreciative.

Annisia is checking out Lucy, our friend's dog. Lucy is a happy, loving, wants to jump up and lick your face sort of dog. So she got stuck in the house while the kids were there. She was as curious as Annisia.

Loren limbing...he had packed along gloves and ear plugs, and had on a work shirt. He was prepared for work!

And Jonathan is busy "driving". Good thing I had the keys!

I'm not really sure what Loren is doing up there. The guys got a great truck load of wood. They had to do some minor trimming to make all the logs fit in so they could close the tailgate. And fit Bella in too!

Michael attaching the straps...

And Bella is snug as a bug in a truck full of wood. She rode partway down the mountain laying facing out the side of the truck bed. Then, somehow, she managed to flip herself so she was facing in to the middle of the window again (like this). At that point, we stopped and let her in to lay by Joe's feet. Poor doggy! There were clouds in the sky, and, gasp! it actually started raining...poor doggy...

Jonathan telling a story

Jonathan loves to tell this story about how Daddy got the scar on his upper lip. I'll type it word for word...

(This is all done while holding his little Gideon Bible like he's giving a testimony.)
"When Daddy was a little boy and he was riding a little boy bike and he fell and a rock it him in the lip and it went {noise}. Then my Grandpa took my Dad to the hospital [I get such a kick out of how he says 'hospital'] and they sewed his lip up. And after that they put the medicine in his nice and warm sewed lip up and after that there was a spider on his (me "there was a what?") there was a SPIDER on his lip last time they did that, right? So! Bye!"

Crazy Woman Canyon

We had Loren and Joe with us a couple weekends ago. We took them through Crazy Woman Canyon on September 29. The colors were beautiful. Renee has been telling us how wonderful it is up there, and it was fun to finally drive through it. Click on this first picture to see green, red, orange, yellow, and maybe even pink leaves!

Annisia was having a good time. She really likes the outdoors, and doesn't mind the wind either. Right now, she likes her new pink hiking boots too. Aren't they cute?!

She really enjoys cheese sticks...

......but so does Bella! Hang on to your cheese, Annisia!

Jonathan wanted to go down by the creek. He is fascinated by nearly everything...flowing water, rocks, mud, looking for fish...you name it.

And Annisia likes water. Period. She liked sitting on this rock for a little bit, but then wanted to stick her hand in the flowing water. Logically...it looks just like the water that comes out of our hose or the faucet. So we just have to put our hand in it. But, she slipped a little and her foot went in. Brrr!

Joe was so sweet with Annisia. She really took to him, let him hold her hand to walk...

...and rode on his shoulders when the going got too tough!

Annisia Mopping!

This little girl is so funny! She has taken to wanting to wear an apron especially if we are. She really thinks she's something. Jonathan started the whole mopping thing with the stick horse, I think. But it was real cute to see Annisia doing it too. Enjoy!
