Family Pics

We decided it was high time to get some family pics taken...well, maybe I should say we decided it was time to take our own family pics! We have never spent the money on studio portraits. So here we go...we put our trusty Panasonic Lumix on a railing post of the south deck, Michael sets the timer, rushes to the seat and we have a few seconds to cajole the kids into smiling.

Take one...not bad, but the shadows are funny on Michael and Jonathan's faces and that is not Annisia's best smiling face. So, slide down the seat, reset the camera, and try again.

Take two...getting better on the kids smiles, but Michael must still have been cajoling. Let's try again, shall we?

Take three...well, we have Annisia smiling her natural beaming smile, and Michael is ear to ear, but now Jonathan is doing something weird with his mouth. Oh Bother! What do we do now? By the way, this was one Sunday morning before meeting. I dare not leave pics for after meeting as Annisia's hair is always messed up by then with all of her squirming around. We could Photoshop it and take the really good smiling one of Jonathan, crop his little face out and paste it in this one. Or...

Take four...we could just take a picture of the kids and call it good. What do you think? If you were to choose a photo, which one would you choose?

Annisia's little dress is a hand me down from a friend. It's a wine colored velvet dress with satin skirting and ribbons. Isn't it too adorable?! I told her to go show Daddy after we had her dressed. She walked in by Michael and said, "Daddy, see my pretty princess dress?"

Later that evening, we were hanging out in the sunroom. I had given the kids the play-doh again and they were busy. Watch Annisia while Jonathan gabs with me. She is busy eating...pretty cute.

I really think that number three is the best picture and I really think that everyone's faces look great! The shadows aren't funny, the smiles are good...go with number three!! :)
